This explains how your AI learns from your data and uses it to answer users.
Understanding this helps you control what your agent knows and improve response accuracy.
How it works #
Your AI only answers from trained data.
If data is not trained, it will be ignored.

Step 1: Add data #
Go to Edit → Data Source
You can add:
- Files (PDF, DOC, TXT, DOCX)
- URLs (website pages)
- Q&A (custom answers)
After adding, the data appears under New.

Step 2: Train the data #
Click Refresh Agent
This will:
- Move New → Trained
- Remove items marked as Removed
- Update the AI’s knowledge
Only Trained data is used by the AI.
Step 3: Understand data states #
Each data source moves through these states:
- New → Not used yet
- Trained → Used by AI
- Removed → Marked for removal
Changes only apply after clicking Refresh Agent.

Important Notes #
- If you don’t click Refresh Agent, new data is not used
- Removing data takes effect only after refresh
- If no data is trained, AI may fail or show fallback responses
- Refresh actions may be limited based on your plan
Quick example #
- Add your website URL
- It appears under New
- Click Refresh Agent
- It moves to Trained
- AI can now answer from your website
Next, go to Preview and test if your agent responds using the trained data.
